The Pickleball Power Play Texas State Championships bring together 18-plus men’s and women’s doubles teams from across eight Texas regions. Teams can earn their place through league play, receive an automatic qualification, or create a brand-new team specifically for this championship event. Players will compete by skill level in a team-based format featuring three doubles lines, pool play, semifinals, and championship matches. Beyond the competition, Horseshoe Bay Resort provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable weekend of team bonding, luxury amenities, live coverage, and championship memories. Whether you are returning from the spring season or discovering Power Play for the first time, there is a path for your team to compete.

WAYS TO PLAY
There are three different ways to participate in the Texas State Championships. Watch the short videos below to determine which path applies to your team, and contact Pickleball Power Play with any questions.
Qualified through
league play
This option is for teams that competed during the spring regular season, finished in first place within their region and division, and earned their qualification to Horseshoe Bay. Captains will automatically receive an email with details on this event. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Automatic
qualification
This option is for teams that registered for the spring league but did not have another team available to compete against in their region or division. Those teams receive an automatic qualification to Horseshoe Bay. Captains will automatically receive an email with details on this event.
NEW TEAMS
WELCOME
Didn’t play during the spring season? You can still compete. Build a brand-new team, select one of our eight Texas regions to represent, and join us at Horseshoe Bay. Need a minimum of 6 Players per team all the same Gender and within the Skill/Division Range you are registering for.
HOW THIS WORKS
COMPETITION AND FORMAT
Teams will be randomly place in a pool of 4 teams. You will play everyone in your pool and top teams go to semi finals.
REGISTER YOUR TEAM
Create a team of at least 6 players on your roster. There will be 3 lines of doubles that you will play.

PRICING/COST
Registration costs are based on how your team qualified for the Texas State Championships. Review the three options below to find the correct pricing structure for your roster.
Qualified through
league play
Team Fee is $450
Teams that earned their qualification by winning the spring regular season will pay one team fee of $450.
You may place as many eligible players as needed on your roster with no additional per-player registration fee. Your roster must include a minimum of six players. If you have any questions please contact Power Play. We can help you sign up and secure your spot.
Automatic
qualification
No Registration Fee
Teams that registered for the spring season but did not have another team available to compete against receive automatic qualification.
There is no team or player registration fee for these qualifying teams. If you have any questions please contact Power Play. We can help you sign up and secure your spot.
NEW TEAMS
WELCOME
$75 Per Player
New teams may register for $75 per player. Teams must have a minimum of six players, but captains may add additional eligible players to the roster.
This option is for players who did not participate in the spring league but want to build a team, represent their region, and compete at Horseshoe Bay.

Can i use the resort facilities if I am not staying there?
Unfortunately, no. Access to Horseshoe Bay Resort’s amenities and guest services is reserved for registered resort guests. To enjoy the pools, fitness facilities, restaurants, transportation, activities, and other resort amenities, you must be staying on the property at Horseshoe Bay Resort.
