FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can i use the resort facilities if I am not staying there?
Unfortunately, no. Access to Horseshoe Bay Resort’s amenities and guest services is reserved for registered resort guests. To enjoy the pools, fitness facilities, restaurants, transportation, activities, and other resort amenities, you must be staying on the property at Horseshoe Bay Resort.
CAN I JUST SIGN UP SOLO?
Yes! You may register as an individual player. Simply call us to register, and we’ll add your name to the player list. We’ll then work to place you on an available team based on roster space and your appropriate division.
HOW DO I START A TEAM?
Starting a team is easy. Simply call us, and we’ll send you the Team Registration Form. Once the form is completed, we’ll help you get your team set up and ready to compete.
WHATS THE FEE FOR THIS?
The entry fee is $75 per player. Each team must have a minimum of six players, but captains may add as many players as they would like to the team roster. Every registered player on the roster must pay the $75 entry fee.
CAN THE CAPTAIN PLAY?
Yes! Team captains are allowed to play. A captain may compete on the team that matches their division—for example, a women’s team captain must be a woman to play on the women’s team, and a men’s team captain must be a man to play on the men’s team. Captains are also responsible for organizing the roster and have full authority to place players into Line 1, Line 2, and Line 3 doubles as they see fit.
How many players do i need for my team?
All teams must have a minimum of 6 players on their team. You may put as many players as you want on your roster. Keep in mind that only 6 will play at a time.
How many matches are we guaranteed?
In a standard eight-team division, teams will be divided into two pools of four. Your team will play each of the other three teams in your pool once.
Each team matchup includes three doubles matches, with every match played best two out of three games, creating a minimum guarantee of 18 games during pool play.
Teams that advance out of pool play and into the semifinals will play additional games. Tournament formats and game guarantees may be adjusted based on the final number of teams registered in each division.
