The wait is finally over.
Pickleball Power Play is officially introducing statewide team leagues, launching first in Texas with our Spring 2026 season.
These will be 18+ gender-based team leagues, built for competitive, organized play with multiple divisions to fit all skill levels.
If you’ve ever played in a tennis league, this format will feel very familiar. The structure is simple, team-based, and easy to jump into, making it incredibly easy for players to get involved.

Regional champions will qualify for the Texas State Championship Tournament!

Happening in September 2026 at Horseshoe Bay Resort. Players from Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, South Texas, West Texas (Amarillo, Lubbock, Abilene, San Angelo), East Texas, and beyond will all compete for the title of:
Best Team in Texas.

🎥 2026 TOURNAMENT UPDATES: LIVE BROADCASTING BEGINS
Starting in 2026, Pickleball Power Play will officially introduce live broadcasting for select events, highlighted by PowerPlay Sunday.
🔴 What Is PowerPlay Sunday?
Divisions that reach the finals on Friday or Saturday will now play their championship matches on Sunday, featuring:
Live cameras
Professional livestream production
Full commentary
Be sure to check the Broadcast Schedule on your tournament’s event page to see if your division qualifies.
🎙️ Introducing Our Broadcast Voice
We’re excited to welcome Lauren McLaughlin, one of the original voices of professional pickleball commentary, to our PowerPlay Sunday broadcasts. Her experience and energy bring a whole new level to the viewing experience.
🔥 NEW FORMAT & PLAYER UPGRADES
We’re making several important updates to elevate competition and player experience:
✅ Play a Half-Point Up
Players are now allowed to play a half-point up.Example: a 3.5 player may compete in a 4.0 division.
With rating algorithms constantly changing, this gives players flexibility and opportunity to challenge themselves.
💰 Prize Money for Every Division
All major Power Play tournaments will now feature cash prizes for every division.

🏅 More Matches, Bigger Finish
Divisions with 7 or 8 teams will now include:
Round robin play
Full bracket play afterward
Championship finalists advancing to PowerPlay Sunday
