HOW TO GUIDE
Below you will find a different sections that will further explain in detail how to get started in this league. If you have questions please contact us.
FIND YOUR LEAGUE
Browse the available leagues in your area and select the league you’d like to participate in. Leagues are organized by region to ensure competitive balance and streamlined scheduling.
If you do not see a league listed in your area, please contact Pickleball Power Play. There may not yet be a league coordinator assigned to your region, and we can help determine next steps or assist in bringing a league to your area.
CREATE OR JOIN TEAM
Once you’ve found your league, you have two options: create a team or join a team.
Create a Team (Captain Role)
If you choose to create a team, you will be designated as the team captain. Captains are responsible for building and managing their team throughout the season.
Captain responsibilities include:
-
Recruiting and managing players on the team
-
Communicating with the league coordinator
-
Assisting with match scheduling
-
Submitting match scores after league nights
-
Managing team communication and lineups
When you create a team, you’ll receive a team invite link that allows you to add players to your roster. There is no maximum roster size, as long as all players fall within the division’s rating range. A minimum of six players is required to form a team.
Once your team is created, a league coordinator will reach out to help you get started and guide you through the process.
Join a Team
If you prefer not to captain, you may join an existing team.
To join a team, the team captain will send you a special invite link that allows you to register directly to their roster.
If you do not have a specific team in mind, you may still sign up for the league, and Pickleball Power Play will assist you in finding a team within your region.
CHOOSE YOUR CLUB
If you are creating or captaining a team, you will need to select a club or home base to play out of.
Captains may choose which club they want to represent, provided the location meets league requirements.
Club requirements:
-
Minimum of three dedicated pickleball courts
-
Hard court surface only
-
Permanent pickleball lines only (no taped lines)
-
Courts may be indoor or outdoor
-
Outdoor courts must be equipped with lighting
-
Courts must be regulation size
Mobile nets are permitted only if they are used on a hard court tennis surface with permanent lines. Permanent pickleball or tennis lines with mobile nets are acceptable.
Team captains are fully responsible for reserving courts for league nights at the designated times agreed upon by coordinators and opposing captains.
Pickleball Power Play will provide official league balls for each league area.
Additional captain responsibilities include:
-
Ensuring the home base is fully reserved for league night
-
Setting doubles lineups each league night
-
Submitting scores after matches
-
Maintaining consistent communication with the league coordinator
GET SCHEDULED
Once a team is created, a Pickleball Power Play league team member will reach out to begin scheduling.
The team member will:
-
Build the league schedule for the region
-
Confirm league nights and match times
-
Ensure all facilities are approved and playable
Once league days and times are finalized, the league will have a specific start date and end date. Season length may vary depending on the number of teams in the region.
All scheduling details will be communicated directly to team captains and players before the season begins.
